As one of the first CIPP/US certified attorneys in Alabama, Brandon counsels clients on policy and compliance issues regarding cybersecurity and data privacy. Brandon’s range of experience and subject matter expertise includes personally identifiable information (PII) and other sensitive information, customer data privacy, drafting and reviewing privacy policies and cybersecurity risk management frameworks, cybersecurity due diligence, smart grid and other electric reliability issues, data breach preparation, management and response, “big data” and Internet of Things (“IoT”), UAS/drones, and more. Brandon has worked with and before a number of federal agencies (e.g., NIST, DOE, FTC, etc.) in developing and providing input on industry-wide cybersecurity and data privacy standards and best practices.
